Tired of ho-hum toast? Is butter and regular jam just not cutting it? Well, there's a much better way to kick up breakfast and the solution may just be beer...well, almost.

While downing a beer for breakfast may not be a sound idea, slathering your morning toast with IPA beer jelly may just be the next best thing to happen to sliced bread.  You can thank archaeologist Nancy Warner for such lovely addition to breakfast.

The self-proclaimed "hardcore foodie" was inspired to create these unique jellies by Vermont's vibrant food and beer culture. Warner uses traditional beer ingredients like hops, yeast and malt to create authentic beer jellies in flavors like IPA, Black IPA, Porter and Oatmeal Stour.

The verdict? Her IPAs are described as having a ''floral and spicy notes''  while the Porter has a ''smoky-sweet" flavor that rivals the earthiness of the stout. Sounds like spreading beer jelly on toast may just be the breakfast of champions.

Warner's artisan beer jelly set includes four 8-oz jars that retail for $28.
