Food and art frequently find common ground in the creations of artists around the world. On this occasion, food has been used to recreate architectural movements from the 20th century.
The delicious photo spread appears in the inaugrual edition of The Gourmand, a food and culture journal based in London. The idea came about when art director Jamie Brown wanted to express design philosophies from the last century on a plate.
For the project, food was strategically arranged on a plate and photographed against hand-cut paper tablecloths. It's a pretty cool concept that resulted in fascinating food art. Can you name any of the architectural movements represented by food?
