Alton Brown's Unmissable New EveryDayCook Book

TV personality and all round science and food man Alton Brown, host of Good EatsThe Next Iron Chef America and Cutthroat Kitchen, gets personal in his first cookbook to be published in five years, the aptly entitled: EveryDayCook.

Fans that have managed to hold out this long won't be disappointed by Brown's up close and personal glimpse into his dining habits and home kitchen as he reflects on what he really likes to cook and eat and when.

The Recipes

A promising collection of 100 recipes are detailed depending on the time of day, which he describes as "delicious, doable, and perfectly suited to everyday cooking." From morning "nitrous pancakes," to "smoky the Meat Loaf" at noon and "cider house fondue" later, there are plenty of playful recipes to keep us busy in the kitchen from dawn till dusk.

The Photography

It's not all slicing and stirring, "there’s still plenty of science and hopefully some humor here" capturing Brown's amiable character. Fans of food photography will also be interested to know that all the photos in the book were taken entirely on an iPhone, with each and every recipe getting its own selfie.

And let's face it, if you're a fan, it's the closest you're going to get to going to Brown's house for dinner. As he helpfully points out, you won't be getting an invite any time soon, because you'll be able to cook what he would have made for you anyhow.

EveryDayCook will hit the shelves on 27 September, but is available for pre-order now.

Alton Brown will also be taking his book on tour.
