Food Network star Alton Brown likes to eat well, even when he flies. The host of Good Eats and The Next Iron Chef  takes pride in the fine food he serves on his private airplane, which he also happens to pilot.

In an interview with Condé Nast Traveler, Alton revealed the food he likes to bring onboard. His favorite? Shrimp. ''I'll be honest, we eat a lot of shrimp. We eat a huge amount of shrimp on that plane: shrimp cocktails, shrimp salads, we also have more than our fair share of egg salad sandwiches and a lot of nuts.''

The celebrity chef often prepares a spicy horseradish sauce for his shrimp which ''keeps the nasal passages open up in the air.'' His tip for mile-high meals? ''You have to heavily season food when you're traveling at high altitude because it tends to dumb down your palate a little bit. Which is one of the reasons aircraft food is typically so bad.''

What you won't find, according to Alton, is a lot of pizza, soups or food than can spill on the aircraft's delicate equipment. Sounds like good eats. Hey Alton, can we get a ride?
