Sushi Airways Takes Off in Singapore

If you'd like to enjoy mile high sushi without the turbulence, a visit to Sushi Airways is a must.

Located in Singapore's Kampong Glam neighborhood, this unique restaurant is styled after an actual aircraft and dishes up tasty Japanese food by servers dressed as cabin crew.

The interior was modeled after the legendary Douglas DC-3, an American fixed-wing propeller-driven airliner popular in the 1930s and 1940s. In order to reach the restaurant, guests must go up a flight of metallic stairs similar to those used to climb onto the aircraft.

Even the restaurant's business card resembles a boarding pass, which is a nice touch.

But the gimicks end there, as Sushi Airways treats guests to wonderful lunch and dinner options that include different kinds of sushi, soba noodles and salads.
