Tea Time In South Africa... Inside A Green House

Sip tea amid sprawling vineyards and orchards overlooking the mounatins of Cape Town. All while being encapsuled in a Victorian glass greenhouse located in one of South Africa's oldest farms.

Karen's Tea House provides a rustic escape from busy city life. In order to reach the tea house, guests of the Babylonstoren Cape Dutch farm resort walk though a lush garden with over 350 species, including a persimmon tree with a grand mosaic of Delft tiles at its base. This stunning backdrop is visible once you step inside the tea house, which doubles as a conservatory.

Exquisitely designed all in glass, complete with  rooftop that resembles fish scales, Karen's Tea House is a charming culinary stop. Menu selections are served inside wooden boxes. Enjoy treats like rosewater cupcakes, herb sorbet popsicles, lemon thyme lemonade and more.
