If you need some rest and relaxation this fall, you may want to head to the heart of France. Tucked away in the Loire Valley, just two hours from Paris lies Domaine Des Hauts de Loire, a Relais & Chateaux hunting lodge built in 1860.

Located in a forest with a private lake, the chateaux the perfect getaway for nature lovers but it's also home to a restaurant with two Michelin stars. Chef Rémy Giraud specializes in ''classical-modern'' cuisine, serving up delicacies like lime soufflé, crémeux of crab in a sea urchin emulsion and jasmine, young pigeon of Madame Lebert and more. The exquisite food is paired with local white wines like Vouvray, Montlouis or Touraine.
