Grilled Cheese Parachutes Coming To New York

It's a bird, it's a plane...it's a flying grilled cheese sandwich?! That's right! A pop-up that delivers grilled cheese sandwiches via parachute is coming to New York City.

The flying sandwiches will be sold the first week of September through a pop-up restaurant called Jafflechutes that will set up shop at The Diamond bar in Greenpoint, Brooklyn.

Parachuting grilled cheeses are the brainchild of Australian duo David McDonald and Adam Grant, who ran a similar succesful pop-up concept in Melbourne. In Australia, toasted sandwiches are called jaffles, hence the name of their business

The concept is simple: customers are instructed to follow Jafflechutes on social media to find out when the sandwiches will be delivered, then they must pay for their order via PayPal, stand at a spot marked with an "X" and catch their flying grilled cheeses.
