If you'd like to dine in paradise we recommend you head to Qualia, an exquisite resort tucked away in Australia's Hamilton Island.

The resort recently topped the list of the 100 best hotels and resorts in the world by Conde Nast Traveler's. The distinction is given via the publication's Reader's Choice Awards.

Surrounded by serene blue waters, the island resort is located along the Great Barrier Reef. It scored 100 points in each category it was graded on: rooms, service, food, location, design and activities.

Executive chef Alastair Waddell treats guests to a mix of Australia's multicultural cuisine using as many local products. Diners are treated to a pre-dinner amuse-bouche such as a tropical cocktail before feasting on specialties like cured Tasmanian salmon, scallops and wild abalone and Cointreau coffee mud cake.

The resort also caters to foodies throught  private ''talk and taste'' events in which guests can learn about food and wine. Sample courses include Sake and Sashimi, Champagne and Oysters and Wine and Cheese.
