When it comes to recognising the work of great chefs and sommeliers, the excellence of restaurants, the contribution of individuals and establishments to the happiness of foodies throughout Asia, who is in the best position to give out the kudos? Should it be industry peers, a selection of bonafide gourmets or the broader public? Should the media have a say?
At the World Gourmet Series Award, there is no need to argue: each of the above get to make their own pick. The event, supported by S.Pellegrino, is now entering decision time. The voting process, which began on February 15th, is closing on March 17th and the winners will be proclaimed one week later (March 24th) at the Fullerton Hotel in Singapore.
Categories include Asian Cuisine Chef of the Year, Restaurateur of the Year, Restaurant Manager of the Year, Wine Retailer of the Year and many others.
