In the last few days thousands of hungry foodies descend upon the annual event, Taste of Christmas. Held in London, Taste of Christmas brings together some of the capital's top restaurants and chefs with a remit to serve seasonal food that inspires - and with a particular festive flavor to the event many people attended to hone their kitchen skills before the big day.
Some of the chefs at this year's event included Michel Roux Jr, Gary Rhodes, Eric Lanlard and many more and with live demonstrations throughout the weekend even the most scroogey Christmas spinsters found a little Christmas spirit.
There were hundreds of producers selling a whole array of foodie treats. Chocolate tasting sessions, wine and cheese and interactive classes for people to learn new skills in the kitchen. Guest were also treated to appearances from Jamie Oliver and Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall as they both opened the show, putting on demonstrations with Jamie teaching a star struck audience how to prepare a Christmas goose.
There were the best of the best producers offering a whole mix of Christmas seasonality - a real reminder of how diverse, yet traditional, the Christmas flavors are. The taste events have grown in appeal year on year and it's easy to pinpoint their success. With festivals now in most major cities around the word and thousands of people from all over England attended this year's seasonal gathering, all signs point to some tasty Christmas treats being laid on the table this December 25th.
