The Windy City is getting a visit from the world's top Nordic chef this fall. René Redzepi from Noma in Copenhagen will be in Chicago on November 17th where a few lucky people will get a chance to get up close and personal with the chef, the Chicago Tribune reports.

The acclaimed chef will participate in two events during that day to promote his new cookbook A Work in Progress: Journal, Recipes and Snapshots (which is actually a collection of three books).

Foodies interested in meeting the chef may head to Italian restaurant Balena from 12-2 p.m. During that time Redzepi will take part in a Q&A while guests sample some of the chef's dishes, the Chicago Tribune reports. Tickets for this event are $135 and include a copy of the chef's book. 

From 6:30-9:30 p.m. Redzepi will participate in a cocktail reception at The Bristol where executive chef Chris Pandel will prepare a 10-course dinner. Dinner costs $235 plus an additional $75 for beverage pairings. Reservations may be made by calling the restaurant.
