Melbourne Food and Wine Fair 2019 Celebrates the Region's Dynamic Culinary Scene

Melbourne Food and Wine Festival, in partnership with Acqua Panna and S.Pellegrino, returns with another incredible 10-day line-up downunder from 8 to 24 March 2019.

The eclectic food festival will host over 250 events across the state of Victoria, including food and wine tastings, culinary demonstrations and fun events all supported by a hot line-up of top culinary talent, both home grown and international. Chefs like Dan Hunter and Peter Gilmore will be in town for the occasion plus overseas guests, Ryan Clift, Matt Arbergel and Rosio Sanchez and many more.

It's a great chance to explore the rich food and wine offering in a regions that spans mountains, coastline and inland waterways and vineyards in the hands of some of the most capable producers and chefs.

Some highlights:

Masterclasses 
International and local chefs at the top of their game will take centre stage at The House of Food and Wine, supported by S.Pellegrino, for three days of live demonstrations between 9 and 11 March.

Global Dining Series

One off collaborations between local restaurants and visiting chefs are a great chance of trying out international talent. Tickets still remain for Rosio Sanchez  at Mamasita on 10 March and Ryan Clift from Singapore's Tippling Club will be cooking up a storm at Osteria Ilaria on 12 March, 

Theatre of Ideas

Listen to chefs like Peter Gilmore from The Quay on The Secret Life of Plants (11 March) and Dan Hunter from Brae on "Local, Seasonal and Sustainable" (10 March) plus many more chefs taking to the stage.

Regional Weekend (15-17 March) 

Take advantage of the weekend dedicated to showcasing the producers, chefs and winemakers throughout Victoria, as well as 20 Regional World’s Longest Lunches lunches taking place simultaneously on Friday 15 March, The Village Feast in Jindivick on Saturday 16 March and another 50 events across the state throughout the weekend.

River Graze (22 to 24 March)

River Graze takes place on the Festival’s Closing Weekend on the south bank of the Yarra River when more than 60 Victorian producers and winemakers, food trucks and stallholders from Federation Square to Crown Riverwalk will showcase what they do best.
