Identità Golose's Program and Insider Details

Almost time for Identità Golose’s new appointment. As we have already introduced, the event will start Sunday February 10th and go on for a three day feast of events that will see involved a roster of renown chefs, from Magnus Nilsson, Massimo Bottura, Joan Roca, to Daniel Humm, and many others from all over the world.

As we all know, Identità Golose is a meeting point of conferences and culinary events around different “Identities”, this year some of the topics will be Identity of Pasta, Natural Identity and Identity of Pizza, but the main focus and theme will be “Respect”.

“Respect for nature, for raw materials, for customers and their money, and the respect of customers for chefs and restaurateurs who are freelancers. There’s also the respect for ourselves and the ideals that were ours in the beginning, and that often growing up we have forgotten”. This is the statement Identità Golose. Here are some of the highlights sponsored by S.Pellegrino and Acqua Panna that we are definitely looking forward to:

Three performances that will definitely mesmerize the audience will be held one for each day of the event. The idea is to bring together one chef with one famous Italian, at the end of the performance food will be offered to the public.

So expect to see Chef Cristina Bowerman cook her way through a fencing match with Italian fencing champion Diego Confalonieri on Sunday. Monday, Chef Lorenzo Cogo will be accompanied by musician Roy Paci in a special music and cooking performance “Gastrofonia”. Tuesday Chef Matias Perdomo, known for his caramelized onion, and Patissier Jordi Roca will be showing off their skills.

During the Identità Naturali (Natural Identities) section, Chef Luigi Taglienti will give a lesson on the importance of water for cooking. Next a presentation of the new S.Pellegrino and Acqua Panna glasses in collaboration with Chef Oldani.

Milano Food & Wine Festival (Saturday 9th-Monday 11th) will be going on in parallel with other important events that revolve around water such as Sommelier Vaccarini doing a Wine&Water tasting on Monday and Tuesday at the S.Pellegrino and Acqua Panna stand.

Do not leave the stand too quickly, secret recipes will be unveiled by three chefs each day, Chef Eugenio Boer, Viviana Varese and Andrea Aprea.

These year’s events will again be a great way to find out what’s “cooking” in the world of food and what we have to watch out for in 2013. Lets start by thinking about the theme, respect, we will make sure to find out how chefs interpret it this year.
