May is a food lovers month with plenty of food centric gatherings on around the world.

From Sapori Ticino to Slow Fish there's a top food event to appeal to every taste, wherever you are this month.

World Gourmet summit 2019, Singapore
Until 12 May 2019

Singapore is in full swing with the arrival of the annual haute cuisine event, World Gourmet Summit, in partnership with S.Pellegrino and Acqua Panna. Until 12 May, the city will be hosting a number of guest chefs and fine dining events across various venues and restaurants in the city, celebrating fine cuisine, excellent wines and wonderful dining experiences. This year the event also champions "sustainability" in the Gastronomy World.

Sapori Ticino 2019
Ongoing until 16 June 2019

The Swiss haute cuisine food festival S.Pellegrino Sapori Ticino is back with an illustrious line up of chefs and lakeside dinners this year, on until 16 June 2019. A series of world-class evenings hosted in exclusive hotels, restaurants and bars set against the spectacular backdrop of the Swiss canton of Ticino, Switzerland with dinner dates for the diary until its close.

Tutto Food, Milan, Italy
3 to 5 May 2019

The third edition of Milano Food City is the biggest event dedicated to food and food culture returns to the city from 3 to 9 May, inspired by the creative genius Leonardo da Vinci. During four days of food inspired topics, debates, innovation and education this is the one stop shop for professionals and food enthusiasts.

Milano Food Week
3 to 9 May 2019

Milano Food City 2019 is the spin off event that animates the city with hundreds of events dedicated to food, including events, tastings and special initiatives, from 3 to 9 May. Now in its tenth edition, the event involves the entire city, from the center to the suburbs. How does that look in numbers? As many as 40 chefs, 4 kitchens, 10 themes will deliver over 100 events in 7 days.

Slow Fish, Genova, Italy
9 to 12 May 2019

Slow Fish, the Slow Food and Liguria Region biennial event dedicated to fish and marine resources, returns to Genoa from 9 to 12 May with its ninth edition. This year's event focuses on "The sea: a common good". All the action will take place at the Porto Antico in the Slow Fish Arena - where chefs, fishermen, researchers, artisans, companies and experts from the international Slow Food network will gather to share their stories and everyday commitment to protecting the sea, with big or small steps. e tastings, meetings, shows, workshops for children, dinners and a large market and dining appointments.

Harlem Eat Up, New York
13 to 19 May 2019

Discover this week-long festival celebrating the food, art and culture of the dynamic village of Harlem. Signature events include the festival’s signature Dine In series, a multi-night dinner party featuring culinary collaborations between Harlem’s best chefs and restaurants with nationally acclaimed guest chefs, The Harlem Stroll in Morningside Park, eating foods from local restaurants and vendors, watching cooking demonstrations with national chefs at the EatUp! On Wednesday 15 May 2019, three Michelin starred restaurant Mirazur will open its doors for an unforgettable collaborative dinner. Chef Mauro Colagreco and guest chef Julien Royer, Chef and co-owner of two Michelin starred Odette in Singapore, will be cooking together at Mirazur for one exclusive night only.

Together these two ground breaking chefs will push the geographic and culinary boundaries for just one unforgettable dining experience. Menu will be priced at 260€ per guest with an accompanying wine pairing also available for 160€.

Get your grill on at the world's biggest annual BBQ competition in Memphis at the World Championship Barbecue Cooking Contest from 15-18 May. Nearly 250 teams from different countries will compete in the biggest cook off on the planet.

Trading Spaces
Locavore, Ubud, Indonesia and RIJKS in Amsterdam, The Netherlands
23 to 26 May 2019

Joris & Yascha (RIJKS, Amsterdam) and Eelke & Ray (Locavore, Bali)

Restaurants Locavore (Ubud, Bali) and RIJKS® (Amsterdam, Netherlands) will temporarily swop places in a unique Trading Spaces event, moving their restaurants to the other side of the world from 23 to 26 May!

Chef Eelke Plasmeijer from Locavore will exchange continent, restaurant and life with Joris Bijdendijk from RIJKS from for three fun days allowing guests in Amsterdam to try the best restaurant in Indonesia, Locavore, while guests in Bali will be able to try the sought after Rijks restaurant from Amsterdam.

In the space of a few days the chefs rebuild their new temporary restaurant into a familiar habitat. Both teams will also be challenged creatively, visiting the local markets, where they get their ingredients to cook a signature menu.

So, what happens when chefs, focused on the local produce of their country, travel across the ocean to take over each other’s restaurants? Book a table to find out!
