If you have ever been to Tuscany, you know one day is simply not enough to discover all of the treasures of the region - whether it be is legendary wine, food or art.

To really explore the hidden jewels of Tuscany you may want to opt for a tour, such as  Discover Tuscany Slowly. This exquisite 7-day guided tour takes you through the many enchanting towns, vineyards, farms and historic Tuscan sites.

Operated by Slow Travel, a project helmed by the international Slow Food organization, the tour aims to give tourists a real sense of the Tuscany you rarely see. It will begin on April 28th.

The various towns in the tour include Florence; Siena, which is famous for the Palio horse race; the towns of Montepulciano and Montalcino - both located in the luscious Chianti area; and San Gimignano, a UNESCO world heritage site.

Aside from sightseeing, participants will have the very unique opportunity of sampling artisanal products and traditional foods at risk of extinction. Local Tuscan delicacies include the Certaldo onion, the wine of Nobile di Montepulciano, Brunello and Bolgheri vineyards, Pienza pecorino cheese, and gelato from Florence's most antique ice cream parlor Perché no!

Here's a sample itinerary of all of the amazing things you'll savor and explore in Tuscany. For more information and to reserve your spot, please visit the Slow Food website.
