The long awaited Paris International Agricultural Fair returns to Paris from 27 February to 6 March expected to attract an impressive 700,000 visitors. The theme for this year's 9-day celebration of all things farming related will be "socially-conscious agriculture and food," which is fitting given the French governments recent ban on supermarket waste.
The 52nd edition of the show will be divided into four worlds: livestock breeding sectors, culinary products, crops and plants, agricultural services and professions.
Foodies hoping to discover gastronomic products of French terroirs will be in their element with a whole dedicated section. Gourmets should head to halls 3 and 7.1 to take their taste buds to the heart of the regions. In both halls, the producers will present their specialties along with female farmers, many chefs and culinary events featuring the flavors of the region.
Halls 5.2 and 5.3 will present gourmet products from around the world including 33 countries for those looking for a more exotic experience.
When you get really hungry head to Hall 4 to find out the restaurant's General Agricultural Competition, which offers tastings of specialties presented at the show.
MEET THE FARMERS
The show will also present the chance to meet some of the 4,000 farmers and their animals including: cows, horses, goats, sheep, cats, dogs, pigs, donkeys, ponies, poultry and more.
