Rene Redzepi - Noma - Copenhagen

The world's best restaurant Noma will be coming to London for 10 days in a special pop-up event held at Claridges. Noma, owned and run by the Danish Chef Rene Redzepi, has placed first for two years consecutively at The World's 50 Best Restaurant Awards and finds out on the 30th of April whether it will pick up the title for a third time.

The chef will serve dinners and lunches at the hotel, taking place from 28th July to the 6th August, costing £195 per person for a five course dinner. Rather than transport his Danish ingredients the chef will use his local and seasonal philosophy to highlight the best British ingredients available.

Redzepi became one of the first chefs to ever feature on the cover of Times Magazine this year and was also chosen as one of their 100 most influential people.

The chef has championed local ingredients and the discovery of Danish produce for years and is now revered on a world scale. The event at Claridges will be the fist time he has transported the Noma brand to another country and will be a great chance for a foreign audience to sample the chef's truly special cooking style.

Heston Blumenthal - The Fat Duck - Bray

Heston Blumenthal has revealed the contents of his special picnic baskets for the Queen's Diamond Jubilee celebrations. The chef announced last week that he would be preparing a special picnic in the park for around 13000 people expected to turn out and mark the occasion.

The chef will prepare british classics with a twist for visitors to a commemorative picnic in Buckingham Palace on the 4th of June. Coronation Chicken and Scottish smoked salmon will be among the selection. In true picnic style and tradition the dishes will all be served up cold.

Pierre Gagnaire - Pierre Gagnaire - Paris

The French chef Pierre Gagnaire had to cancel his appearance at Intercontinental Resort in Bali on the weekend. The chef, famous for his Pierre Gagnaire venue in Paris which placed 16 on the World's 50 Best Restaurants list in 2011, was due to appear to give cooking lessons and a five course meal for guests.

His appearance was cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances.
