The Central Europe regional final of S.Pellegrino Young Chef 2020 will take place in Hamburg, Germany on 23 September 2019.
The best ten chefs in Germany, Austria, Hungary, Poland, as hand selected by Alma culinary school, will face off in a live cooking competition presenting their signature dishes to a local jury of professional chefs and judges; Cornelia Poletto (Germany), Tim Raue (Germany), Tristan Brandt (Germany), Kostantin Filippou (Austria), Iwona Niemczewska (Poland), Marcin Popielarz (Poland) and Eszter Palágyi (Hungary).

The local chef jury will be tasked with the challenging job of selecting one finalist and their signature dish to represent the region at the Grande Finale S.Pellegrino Young Chef 2020.
At this regional level there will be four prestigious awards up for grabs:
S.Pellegrino Young Chef Award
Awarded for each Region by an independent chef jury, and at the Grand Finale by the Seven Sages, this award is given to the chef who has unrivalled technical skills, genuine creativity and an exceptional, strong personal belief about Gastronomy.
S.Pellegrino Award for Social Responsibility
Voted by an internationally recognized voice on sustainability in food, for the dish that will represent the principle of socially responsible practises.
Acqua Panna Award
Voted for by mentors representing 50 countries around the world, for the dish that will be the one that reflects the perfect connection between different cultures on the plate.
Fine Dining Lovers Food for Thought Award
Voted for by the online Fine Dining Lovers community, for the young chefs that best represent their personal belief within their dish.
The fourth prize is awarded by Fine Dining Lovers readers who will be given the opportunity to vote online for their favourite young chef.
