Gordon Ramsay will be launching a new cooking show in the UK it’s been announced, and he’s looking for amateur cooks to take part.
Culinary Genius will be a weekly hour long show on the UK’s ITV network, and, as Eaterreports, will pit amateur cooks, working alongside famous chefs, including Ramsay himself, against each other.
Contestants will compete for cash and prizes in “a high-octane show held at a Thunderdome-style arena,” in front of a live audience, says Ramsay, in typical Ramsay style. So, kind of like the Bocuse d’Or in condensed, non-nationalistic form?
Those behind the show, which has no confirmed broadcast date yet, are looking for “people who simply love to cook and are really good at doing it,” according to The Press and Journal.
