New York City is poised to be the next destination of the ever popular pet cafés. We've already brought you the cat café in Paris but the New York version would be dedicated to dog lovers. That's if New Yorkers Maggie Cee and Mandy Chow get their way.
Chow and Cee are running a crowdfunding campaign to fund New York City's first-ever dog café. It would be located in Manhattan and be a place where dog lovers could enjoy quality time with pooches but then get back to their pet-free apartments.
"To provide a fun play area for the dogs, our plan is to build a dog playground on one side of the café. The playground will be concealed in a glass room with a separate entrance as the seating area to meet the guidelines of the Department of Health and Inspection. Customers will be able to enjoy their coffee and quick bites while watching the dogs run around and play with each other in the playground, as well as join in on the fun themselves. This way we can also provide a fun and sanitary café for both the customers and the dogs," the duo write on their Indiegogo profile.
The duo hope to raise $70K for their New York dog café. If you'd like to help them out swing by Indiegogo. So far, they've raised $797 but there are still 35 days left to go.
