Look at this bike: could you believe that it's entirely made of food? Swedish photographer Fabian Öhrn, together with the art director Joakim Hedblad, produced this fixed gear using only edible ingredients: the project is called 'I heart my bike', as an hommage to the photographer's passion for bikes, and was designed for an exhibition in Stockholm.
Their recipe? A pear as a saddle, spaghetti for the wheels, leek, kolbaz sausages, Swedish rhubarbs, ginger, organic carrots, syrup, lime, lemon, black spaghetti, grapefruit, cowberrys, pear, cheese, whole meat macaroni sticks, cucumbers, sugar, orange and lots of olive oil...
Rather than just being faux-meat, Mamu is different. It's a mushroom-based meat alternative that's getting its launch in restaurants so that chefs can test its versatility. Flora Tsapovsky investigates.
