Meet Chef Luigi Taglienti, an Italian rising star

This week began with all eyes on Milan. Italy's fashion capital is the new home of chef Luigi Taglienti, a 33-year old who has been called upon by the Trussardi family to substitute Andrea Berton in one of Italy’s most prestigious and high-level kitchens.

Taglienti honed his culinary skills in his native Italy and France. In 2007, his work at the Piemontese restaurant Delle Antiche Contrade in the city of Cuneo earned the establishment a Michelin star.

Truffle Season In Hollywood

From Milan, we traveled to another Italian city. This time we explored the exquisite world of truffles, which just came into season in the city of Alba.

Famed for its white  truffles, the city of Alba becomes a Hollywood hotspot every fall with its annual International Truffle Fair.

Truffles are impossible to cultivate and are available for only a couple of months a year, its rarity has made them popular with celebrities like Sofia Loren, Bruce Willis and even Penelope Cruz.

50 Meals, 50 Days

From Italy we took a trip to the United States to introduce you to two incredible young men: Austin and Andrew. Together, they traveled around the world offering meals to complete strangers and documenting it on their website 50 days, 50 meals.

 "With food as a universal language, we intend to engage individuals from multiple socioeconomic backgrounds using the bistro table as common ground", they write on their site.
