By Rose Y.Colón on
Gourmet had the brilliant idea of rounding up some of the world's top chefs and asking them one simple question (perhaps the most important of all): where would you like to dine before you kick the bucket?
Chefs like René Redzepi, who currently tops the World's 50 Best Restaurants list, Daniel Humm from Eleven Madison Park and Elena Arzak from Arzak all gushed about restaurants they would love to visit.
Where would René like to eat? None other than Willows Inn on Lummi Island in Washington. The restaurant is run by Noma disciple Blaine Wetzel and is known for serving seasonal and local ingredients - very a la Redzepi.
Daniel Humm stuck to the New York City restaurant scene by choosing Barney Greengrass in Manhattan's Upper West Side.
Elena Arzak and her famed father and chef partner Juan Mari also stuck close to home with their selection of Ganbaras, a pintxos (local tapas) restaurant in San Sebastián.
Where else would some of the world's top chefs like to dine? You can read the full scoop at Gourmet.
