Not content with creating one of the world's most used social networks, Biz Stone and Evan Williams - the co-founders of twitter, have invested heavily in a new company that produces vegan meat substitutes.

Called Beyond Meat, the company produces meat substitutes using plant substances and apparently impressed the two investors with their big ideaz, scalable business model and their motivations to take a slice of the multi-billion dollar meat industry.

Beyond Meat already produces vegan chicken strips available at a number of Whole Food stores in the California. They are now looking to create their next product, Beef Crumbles, to push to the growing number of vegans and non meat eaters.

With the backing of tech giants like Stone and Williams the business is off to a flying start in their mission to create a tasty meat alternative that fools the taste buds and has a positive effect on the environment.
