Ferran Adrià to Launch Wikipedia Style Cooking Site

The Spanish chef Ferran Adrià just can't stop revealing secrets as he spends his time in Mexico at the Cancun Rivera Wine and Food Festival.

Last week the elBulli chef announced plans to open a new Mexican restaurant in Barcelona with his brother Albert sometime in 2012. And yesterday he told audiences about his latest idea and what could possibly be his his biggest project yet - LaBulliPedia.com.

LaBullipedia will be a culinary bible of modern Spanish cuisine available online in a similar format to the famous open source website wikipedia.com. The idea is to create an online resource of modern cooking, making the techniques and tricks of his trade available to everyone.

Ferran has said it will be the "Wikipedia of high cooking with free access to all of its content," an exciting idea and one that will surely be fun, creative and informative with someone like Ferran at the helm.

Many wondered what Ferran would do when he closed his elBulli restaurant in 2011 but with a number of new ventures planned with his brother, the elBulli Foundation opening in 2014 and now LaBulliPedia - it seems the chef is juggling more than a few plates at the moment.
