With the upcoming release of Sam Sifton's new Thanksgiving Cookbook the American food writer has produced a video on how to deep fry a turkey.

Often seen as the most dangerous thanksgiving recipes Sifton walks viewers through exactly how to do it with safe and tasty affects.

Published on Bon Appetit the magazine also have a recipe for the Turkey seen in the video.

Sifton's new book, Thanksgiving: How to Cook it Well, is released on October 23rd and comes full of tips and tricks for Thanksgiving that Sam picked up while manning the Thanksgiving Helpline at the New York Times.
