If meeting your friends in a bar on the high street just doesn't cut it as a good night for you - what about heading underwater to enjoy a drink and conversation?

The Subsix Bar in the Maldives claims to be the world's first underwater bar and nightclub - allowing guests to enjoy themselves while taking in a view of the ocean.

The bar is located 500m offshore and accessed by boat - once their guest can use an above water restaurant, cocktails bars and of course the underwater bar.

It looks pretty swanky and has to be one of the most unique bar opening of the year.
