The ramen craze has snowballed into a big noodle adventure. For an off beat culinary destination, consider visiting Japan's CupNoodles Museum - a homage to instant ramen.

The CupNoodles Museum is located in Yokohama, about 30 minutes from Tokyo. The interactive museum is an ode to ramen and its history.  It features cool displays like giant noodle cups and swirling noodles encassed in glass, you can even design your own cup of noodles. 

Instant ramen was invented by Momofuku Ando in 1958, since then it has taken Japan by storm. The world has followed.
